PG-200 Operation Manual
Version 2.D
12 CHANGE VIEW RATE
– Changes the display view time by entering seconds per
display. The view time can also be adjusted using “
” “” cursor keys when values
are not being entered.
13 LEVEL ENTER
– Enters new trigger level value. Trigger level pot is disabled.
14 LEVEL POT EN
– Enables/disables trigger level pot.
15 DLY’D TRIG’S SYNC
– Sync’s DELAYED TRIGGER OUT or AUX DLY’D
TRIG OUT to the high voltage gate pulse, i.e. the delayed pulse has a fixed delay
from the trailing edge of the gate pulse. The default sync delay is 20 µsec, but the
sync delay can be varied between 1 and 100 µsec. The sync’s can also be removed.
The sync feature does not work during gate delay sweeping (“box-car” mode), e.g., a
synchronized DELAYED TRIGGER OUT does not sweep along with the gate pulse.
The DELAYED TRIGGER OUT will remain at its starting value.
16 AUX DLY’D TRIG
– Sets AUX DLY’D TRIG OUT delay from input trigger if
AUX DLY’D TRIG OUT not synchronized to gate pulse, in which case AUX
DLY’D TRG SYNC TO GATE is displayed. Works similar to DLY’D TRIG key.
18 JUMPERS
– Informs the PG-200 of new jumper configurations for proper
calibration. Jumper configurations are entered as follows:
DELAY OUT
jumper field (DLY’D TRIGGER OUT)
–5: +5 V negative logic
5: +5 V positive logic
–15: +15 V negative logic
15: +15 V positive logic
INT TRIG OUT
jumper field (INTERNAL TRIG OUT)
–5: +5 V negative logic
5: +5 V positive logic
–15: +15 V negative logic
15: +15 V positive logic
It is not necessary to inform the system when AUX DEL OUT jumper is changed.
25 TIMERS CAL
– Calibrates time base against crystal oscillator for temperature drift
compensation.
26 TIMERS CAL AUTO
– Calibrates time base against crystal oscillator for
temperature drift compensation automatically every time gate pulse width is
changed, i.e. runs TIMERS CAL every time pulse width is changed. Calibration will
not activate until the PG-200 warm-up time has passed. However, during this period,
NOT WARMED UP YET is displayed instead of the usual calibration display.
51 SWEEP CHECK
– Forces the gate pulse delay to alternate between the delay sweep
end points in order to check the delay sweep end point alignment.
52 ECHO KEYS
– Echoes the front panel keys. Used to check key switch operation.
60 VERSION
– Displays software version number.
