ii. ‘Dispense Again’
This (Fig 6.1.2) indicates the need to press the dispenser
button again onto the gold sample. If this message keeps
appearing, below are the possible causes and suggested
solutions.
Possible causes:
• Insufficient liquid is present due to air bubbles inside
the probe pen
• Testing liquid was not dispensed onto the gold sample
on the conductive plate
• Testing on non-gold material(i.e., plastic) on the
conductive plate
• Erroneously testing on the non-conductive plate with
no sample present
• Testing gold sample only on the non-conductive plate
without any part of the sample touching the conductive
plate
Suggested solutions:
• Ensure the probe pen is filled with testing liquid before
doing testing
• Perform the <<Purge>> function to remove any
possible air bubbles present in the probe pen
• Ensure the gold sample is placed either wholly onto the
aluminium conductive plate or across both the conductive
and non-conductive plate (for small/thin samples)
• Ensure full contact of the probe pen with the gold
sample during testing
iii. ‘No Liquid. Please Refill’
This (Fig 6.1.3) indicates that there is no more testing
liquid left in the probe pen to conduct a test. You will need
to perform the <<Refill>> function and use a new vial of
testing liquid.
