Troubleshooting and Repairs

Identify and solve problems: Detecting problems during
installation and commissioning
Elongation sensor

Signal disturbances

Remove other magneto
restrictive sources

Signal cable is connected to
the wrong terminal
Make sure that the
elongation signal is
connected to terminal -
X1001: AI3
Check as well the +24V, 0V
and signal are not mixed up.

Sensor rail is grounded
Check installation of the
sensor brackets: the
insulating sleeves shall be
used together with the
screws. The rail shall not be
grounded.
No signal indication
Distance between magnet
and sensor rail
Adjust the H-bracket to
ensure that the distance
between magnet and rail is
always between 2 and 7
mm
No signal indication
Magnet out of
measurement area of the
sensor rail.
On the connector site there
is an inactive area of
100.5mm.
On the non-connector site
the inactive area is 53.5
mm.
Adjust the H-bracket to
ensure that the magnet
never moves into the
inactive areas.
