SET-UP FOR GASLESS MIG
1. Turn the power source on and select the Gasless MIG set-up and welding
parameters on the LCD Panel.
2. Connect the MIG torch, dinse and ground leads as instructed by the output
set-up image. The MIG torch’s smaller cable fits into the remote connector
socket (E).
3. Select the other parameters as required.
4. Install flux-cored welding wire and the knurled drive roller (see Wire
Installation and Set-up).
SET-UP FOR TIG
1. Turn the power source on and select the MIG function set-up and welding
parameters on the LCD Panel.
2. Connect the TIG torch, dinse and ground leads as instructed by the output
set-up image.
3. Select the other parameters as required.
4. Connect the gas hose to the regulator then connect the regulator to the gas
cylinder. Connect the other end of the gas hose to the gas inlet (L) on the
rear of the welding machine. Check for gas leaks.
5. Open the valve on the gas cylinder and set the flow between 21 to 30 CFH.
6. Press the gas check button (P1) to confirm gas is flowing through the TIG
torch.
CHECK FOR GAS LEAKAGE
Check for gas leakage each time the welding unit is set-up for MIG or TIG
welding and at regular intervals.
1. Connect the regulator and gas hose assembly and then tighten all
connectors and clamps.
2. Slowly open the cylinder valve.
3. Set the flow rate on the regulator to approximately 15 to 25 CFH.
4. Close the cylinder valve and pay attention to the needle indicator on the
regulator’s pressure gauge. If the needle drops away towards zero, there is
a gas leak.
