CHANGING THE PUMP OIL
Change the pump oil after the first 50 hours of operation. Then change the oil every
100 hours or 3 months, whichever occurs first.
When changing pump oil, use only high quality pump oil or SAE 75W90. Use no
special additives.
Separate the pump from the engine to change the oil.
1. Remove the four screws connecting the pump to the engine.
2. Pull the pump away from the engine’s shaft and place the pump on a
flat surface.
3. Remove the four pump head screws with a hex wrench. Set the pump wrench
and screws aside.
4. Drain oil from the pump into an approved receptacle.
5. Fill the pump with universal pump oil or SAE 75W90, until level with the
internal disc.
6. Replace pump head and tighten screws with hex wrench.
7. Slide the pump onto the engine shaft and align the screw holes.
8. Insert and tighten the screws.
9. Wipe up any spilled oil.
ENGINE MAINTENANCE
See the Engine manual for instructions on how to properly maintain the engine.
CLEANING
Clean accumulated debris from the pressure washer’s muffler and cooling slots
daily to reduce the risk of overheating and ignition of the debris. Also check that
there is nothing blocking the linkage, spring and controls.
Use a damp cloth to wipe exterior surfaces clean. A soft bristle brush can loosen
caked on dirt, oil, etc. A vacuum cleaner will remove loose dirt and debris in difficult
to reach places.
Examine the screen on the pump water inlet. Clean it if the screen is clogged or
replace it if the screen is damaged.
