INSTALLATION
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Meet national electrical code and local codes for all wiring. Improper wiring may lead to a fatal
electric shock. A licenced electrician should perform all wiring involved with this pump.
Installation requires wiring components into the pump. Ground the motor before connecting it to an electrical power
source to avoid an electric shock. Do not use a gas supply line to ground the pump.
Make certain that the power supply conforms to the electrical specifications of the motor supplied. Supply voltage
must be within 10% of nameplate voltage (see Specifications). Incorrect voltage can cause a fire or seriously
damage motor.
The user may wish to create a permanent connection between the pump and power source. Do not use an extension
cord or attempt to splice wires for a permanent connection. A certified junction box is a safer choice.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, install motor and all electrical components above the top grade level of the
sump. This pump is not submersible.
