4. ETHERNET GATEWAY CONFIGU-
RATION
The IP address and the gateway parameters of the Power Electronics
Ethernet Gateway can be assigned to the board in two ways; using
MODSCAN or Web Server application.
4.1. Configuration Switch
To enter into configuration mode, the following steps have to be
followed.

Turn off the gateway
– switch off the 24Vdc power supply

Switch on the jumper for configuration mode

Turn on the gateway
– switch on the 24Vdc power supply
Now the gateway will enter into configuration mode. In this mode only
the gateway communication related parameters have to be configured.
In configuration mode the MODBUS/RTU communication is
established with the 9600 BAUDS, odd parity, 8
– data bits and 1 –
stop bit. The usage and configuration of parameters are explained
below.
Now the gateway has to turn back to operational mode to apply
changes. For this, following steps has to be performed.

Turn off the gateway

Switch off the jumper for operational mode

Turn on the gateway

MODBUS register [CACHING_ENABLED] address [MODBUS
Address: 41502] is allocated to switch over different operation modes.
