Before a presenter can use a computer to show content with
Content IP, you need to:
• Enable Content IP on the V500 system.
When you purchase this option, you receive a software license key. This
key allows you get a software activation key from the Polycom Resource
Center, which allows you to enable Content IP on a V500 system.
• Download the Content IP software application from the Polycom
Resource Center to the computer(s) that the presenter will use to show
content.
You don’t need to change the computer resolutions and you don’t need
special cables or hardware, but the computer(s) must meet these
requirements:
— Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP Home, or Windows
XP Professional
— Minimum computer: 500 MHz Pentium® III (or equivalent); 256 MB
memory
Recommended computer: 1 GHz Pentium III (or equivalent); 512 MB
memory
• Connect the computer(s) to the IP network.
Note that, although you can use the license key on only one V500 system, you
can install the software application on an unlimited number of computers.
For information about purchasing the Content IP option, please
contact your Polycom distributor.
To enable Content IP on a V500 system:
1.
On a computer, open a web browser and log on to the Polycom Resource
Center at http://extranet.polycom.com .
2.
Select Product Activation.
3.
Enter the license key you received when you purchased the
Content IP option.
4.
Enter the serial number of the V500 system onto which you want to
install Content IP.
You will then receive a Content IP software activation key.
5.
Go to System > Admin Settings > General Settings > Options on the
V500 system.
6.
Enter the Content IP software activation key.
