3. Cut off the excess rubber of the boss beyond the convex part. Be certain that the debris is
removed from the camera.
4. Reverse steps 1 - 4 in the removal procedure.
Strap Lug Removal/Installation
There are three strap lugs on the PDC-2000 (Figure 5- 12). Each is held in place in the
interior of the camera chassis by an e-ring. To remove a strap lug, the e-ring must be removed.
The depth of disassembly to gain access to the e-rings varies according to the location of the
strap lug. Follow the instructions below to determine what components must be removed to
replace a strap lug.

1. Remove the top cover.
2. Remove the front end board.
3. Remove the back end board with attached hard drive assembly.
