Muting
The volume is muted tem p o r a r ily when pr essing the MUTE
button on the r emote cont r ol. P r ess again to r esto r e the
volume.
P.bass control
When the p owe r is fi r st tu r ned on, the unit will ente r the
P.bass mode which em p hasises the bass f r equencies. To
cancel the P.bass mode, pr ess the
P.BASS
button on the
r emote cont r ol.
Bass control
P r ess the
BASS
button, then pr ess

to adjust the bass.
Treble control
P r ess the
TREBLE
button, then pr ess

to adjust the
t r eble.
Equaliser
When the
SOUND
button is pr essed, the cu rr ent mode
setting will be dis p layed. To change to a diffe r ent mode, pr ess
the SOUND button r e p eatedly until the desi r ed sound mode
a pp ea r s.
Input function
When the
INPUT
button on main unit is pr essed, the cu rr ent
function will change to diffe r ent mode. P r ess the INPUT
button r e p eatedly to select desi r ed function.
Note
• The backu p function will pr otect the memo r ised function
mode should the r e be a p owe r failu r e o r the AC p owe r
lead becomes disconnected.
Enhancing your system
The connection lead is not included. Pu r chase a
comme r cially available lead as shown below.
Listening to the playback sounds of portable
audio player, etc.
1 Use a connection lead to connect the portable audio
player etc. to the AUDIO IN socket.
2 Press the STANDBY/ON button to turn the power on.
3 Press the AUDIO IN button on the remote control or
INPUT button repeatedly on main unit to select AUDIO
IN function.
4 Play the connected equipment.
• If volume level of the connected device is too high, sound
disto r tion may occu r . Should this ha pp en, lowe r the
volume of the connected device. If volume level is too low,
inc
r ease the volume of the connected device.
Note
• To pr event noise inte r fe r ence, p lace the unit away f r om
the television.
• When using video equi p ment, connect the audio out p ut
to this unit and the video out p ut to a television.
Headphones
• Do not tu r n the volume on to full at switch on and listen
to music at mode r ate levels. Excessive sound pr essu r e
f r om ea rp hones and head p hones can cause hea r ing loss.
• Befo r e p lugging in o r un p lugging the head p hone, r educe
the volume.
• Be su r e you r head p hone has a 3.5 mm diamete r p lug and
im p edance between 16 and 50 ohms. The r ecommended
im p edance is 32 ohms.
• Plugging in the head p hone disconnects the s p eake r s
automatically. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME
cont
r ol.
