Connecting to the network through LAN
interface
By connecting this r eceive r to the netwo r k via the LAN
te r minal, you can listen to Inte r net r adio stations. To listen to
Inte r net r adio stations, you must sign a cont r act with an ISP
(Inte r net Se r vice P r ovide r ) befo r ehand.
When connected in this way, you can p lay audio files sto r ed
on the com p onents on the netwo r k, including you r com p ute r ,
using
NETWORK
functions.
Connect the LAN te r minal on this r eceive r to the LAN
te r minal on you r r oute r (with o r without the built-in DHCP
se r ve r function) with a st r aight LAN cable (CAT 5 o r highe r ).
Tu r n on the DHCP se r ve r function of you r r oute r . In case you r
r oute r does not have the built-in DHCP se r ve r function, it is
necessa r y to set u p the netwo r k manually. Fo r details, see
Network setup menu
on p age 21.

Connecting to a wireless LAN
Wi r eless connection to the netwo r k is p ossible th r ough a
wi r eless LAN connection. Use the se p a r ately sold AS-WL300
fo r connection.
Fo r details, r efe r to the o p e r ating inst r uctions of the wi r eless
LAN conve r te r (AS-WL300).
AC power connection
Afte r checking all the connections have been made co rr ectly,
p lug the AC p owe r lead of this unit into the wall socket.
CAUTION
• Un p lug the AC p owe r lead f r om the wall socket if the unit
will not be in use fo r a pr olonged p e r iod of time.
• Handle the p owe r co r d by the p lug. Do not p ull out the
p lug by tugging the co r d and neve r touch the p owe r co r d
when you r hands a r e wet as this could cause a sho r t
ci r cuit o r elect r ic shock. Do not p lace the unit, a p iece of
fu r nitu r e, etc., on the p owe r co r d, o r p inch the co r d. Neve r
make a knot in the co r d o r tie it with othe r co r ds. The
p owe r co r ds should be r outed such that they a r e not likely
to be ste pp ed on. A damaged p owe r co r d can cause a fi r e
o r give you an elect r ical shock. Check the p owe r co r d
once in a while. When you find it damaged, ask you r
nea r est PIONEER autho r ized se r vice cente r o r you r deale r
fo r a r e p lacement.
