8. EACH SETTING AND ADJUSTMENT
8.1 MODEL SETTING
W hen the MAI N Assy and/or TUJB Assy that are(is)
commonly used with another model are(is) replaced,
they(it) must recognize the model of this unit.
Items to b e set: The model num b er, destination, and
region N o. must b e set.
• Once the setting has b een made, it can never b e changed. Be sure to make the setting correctly.
• As this setting resets the Assy(s) in question to the factory-preset status, it is recommended that you o b tain
the customer's consent b eforehand.

After the unit is turned on, the model name for the
original equipment manufacturer is displayed on the
T
V monitor screen. Input "9696" on the remote control
unit for service to change it to the model name for
Pioneer.

The following screen is displayed on T V monitor.
Press four digits properly b y using the remote control
unit for service,
according to the screen information.

Disconnect then reconnect the AC power cord of the
unit. Be careful not to impart vi b ration to the unit
immediately after the AC power cord is disconnected.

Press [ESC] then [DISP] keys b y using the remote
control unit for servicing, and then confirm each

N ame.

Reset the recorder to all its factory settings.
(Make sure that the recorder is on. Press and hold
(STOP) key and press (STA N DBY/O N ) key on
the front panel.)
The recorder turns off with all settings reset.
