11. If the appliance accidentally falls into a sink, bathtub, etc., never try to remove the
appliance from the water with the plug inserted in the power socket. Switch off
the mains switch, remove the plug from the power socket and contact qualified
personnel: do not attempt to operate the appliance until it has been carefully
checked by qualified personnel and / or the PIC TECHNICAL SERVICE CENTRE.
12. The medical appliance requires special precautions regarding electromagnetic
compatibility and must be installed and put into service following the informa-
tion provided in the user manual.
13. Some components of the appliance are so small that they can be swallowed by chil-
dren; therefore keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
14. Keep the accessories out of the reach of children. Children and non self-sufficient
people must always use the medical appliance under the close supervision of
an adult in full possession of his or her mental faculties. Keep the nebuliser cup
out of the reach of children under the age of 36 months in that it contains small
parts which can be swallowed. Do not leave the device unattended within the
reach of children and/or persons who are not in full possession of their mental
faculties as they could strangle themselves with the underwater tube.
15. Keep the appliance well out of the reach of children under the age of 36 months
as they could, if unsupervised, strangle themselves with the power cable and /
or the underwater tube.
16. In the event of a fault and / or poor operation of the appliance, switch it off
and do not tamper with it. WARNING: Do not modify this appliance without au-
thorisation from the manufacturer. No electrical and / or mechanical part in the
appliance was designed to be repaired by the user. Failure to observe this may
compromise the safety of the appliance.
17. WARNING: Always position the end of the nebuliser cup where the steam comes
out at a distance of 20-40cm from the user’s face.
18. Use of the appliance in environmental conditions other than those indicated in
this manual may seriously prejudice its safety and technical parameters.
19. In the event of a fault and / or poor operation of the appliance, switch it off
and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact the PIC TECHNICAL SERVICE
CENTRE and request the use of original spare parts. Failure to observe this may
compromise the safety of the appliance.
Under some fault conditions the housing temperature may be high and may con-
stitute a risk of scalding/burning if these parts are touched. In any case, these tem-
peratures never exceed the limit of 105°C (ref. Interpretation Sheet IEC 60601-1).
