Other control cable types
There are two types of data cable commonly used to connect to electronic drivers with LEDs or fluorescent
lamps.
1-10V cabling
1-10V mains rated polarized cabling. Single pair figure-eight cable. Positive wire with dashed line.
DALI Cabling
DALI (and DSI) mains rated non-polarized cabling. Single pair figure-eight cable. Maximum bus length of 300 m
(1000 ft). Maximum 2 V voltage drop between any two DALI devices.

DALI is not touch-safe and shall be treated as ELV per IEC Classification. DALI could be mains potential.
Only basic isolation is provided. The DALI control cable must be handled as live up to 230VAC.
Total loop resistance on longest run < 18 Ohms. The cable run distance from any point to the DALI controller
should not exceed 300 m (1000 ft).
