Installing gas ballast valve
1. Insert the O-rings into the designated grooves in the spiral housing.
2. Place the gas ballast valve on the spiral housing while making sure that the ball is seated in the
groove in the spiral housing.
3. Screw the special screw into the gas ballast valve.
– Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm
4. Check the function of the gas ballast valve by turning it to all positions.
5. Press the cover into the gas ballast valve.
9.5 Changing the tip seal
Prerequisites
● Vacuum pump switched off
● Vacuum system vented to atmospheric pressure
● Electrical supply disconnected
● Mains cable disconnected
● Vacuum inlet sealed with the original protective cover
