VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
Warning
Never dispose used batteries in the
environment. Deliver them to the
organizations which are responsible
for collection and recycling of these
batteries.
Warning
- Make sure the screen wiper blades
are not frozen when freezing (screen
wiper engine may get hot).
- Check the blades. Change them,
when their efficiency has decreased
(approx. once per year).
- Never use anti-freeze and water
mixture in windshield washer reservoir. It
can severely damage your vehicle paint.
- Clean any stains only by carpet
shampoo and sponge.
Blue straps on the trim of the side
mirrors, windows and fenders, etc.
should be detached, otherwise it may
cause problem.
Removing stains
Mud, chocolate, sweets, syrup, fruit juice:
Plastic or leather trims can be cleaned with
warm soapy water. For cloth trims you may
use warm soapy water, dilute ammonia
(25%) or wine vinegar.
Vomit or food material:
Clean immediately
with water or preferably white vinegar.
Blood:
To be cleaned off with cold water.
Ink, Ball-Point or Felt Pen Marks:
For any
of the trim materials you may use either
methylated spirit 90% alcohol or
trichloroethylene.
Tar, Grease:
For any of the trim materials
you may use either turpentine or white spirit.
Engine Oil: For any of the trim materials
you may use white spirit 90% alcohol or
methylated spirit.
Maintenance of the vehicle’s body
Preventive points during manufacturing
- Proper sheets with special covering for
surfaces which are more exposed to damages
- Protective layer under the frame of the
vehicle body
- Submersion of the vehicle body in the
“electrophoresis” pool for primary coating
- Special insulation for inside of the fender
- One protective layer against crack of the
paint on the external surfaces of the door step.
Above procedures should be completed
by the proper maintenance of the vehicle
considering its use.
Corrosion
Small scratches on the paint should be
repaired immediately to prevent any rusting.
Material deposit
Mud, oil, insects or birds’ droppings or
sludge may damage the finish of you vehicle.
Remove these types of deposits as quickly as
possible with water without scratching. Use
suitable soluble for clean tar stain in order to
keep the finish or plastic parts safe.
Sweltering heat or tough cold
Do not wash the vehicle under direct sunlight
or in tough cold weather. Store your vehicle
in a dry, well ventilated area or having
temperature more than 18º C in winter.
Washing
Wash your vehicle regularly specially if you park
under trees or drive in polluted environment or
drive near sea, in snow or salty roads.
Lubricating
Lubricate the locks and joints in engine
compartment, side doors and trunk lid.
