2. Proper use
The wireless camera set consists of the camera DF270K and monitor 27 with
two mains adaptors.
It is to be used for the surveillance of rooms, entrance hallways, driveways etc.
through video pictures and sound. The video and audio transmission is wireless
using a frequency of 2.4GHz.
The power is supplied through the supplied mains adapters connected to a
230VAC, 50Hz mains supply. The monitor contains a rechargable lithium battery
which is automatically recharged whenever the monitor is placed into the docking
station. The battery can power the monitor for up to two hours portable operation.
If there is sufficient light a colour picture will be transmitted. At low ambient light
levels the integrated Infrared LEDs are automatically switched on. In this case the
immediate area (max. 10 m) will be illuminated and the video picture switches to
black and white mode for improved light sensitivity. The picture quality is
optimised for day and night opereation by an internal mechanical filter change. If
the surveillance is specifically required in a dark environment, then additional
lighting should be installed.
Up to four wireless cameras DF270K can be used with one monitor.
The camera
channels can manually selected, they can be automatically displayed in
sequence if the scan mode is selected, or they can be observed simultaneously
in quad-split screen mode.
The wireless transmission is digital and on constantly changing frequencies
(frequency hopping) which are synchronised between the camera and the
monitor. Only the receiver which has been "paired" with the camera can receive
the synchronised signals. This security feature prevents access of the camera
signal by third parties.
The camera is weatherproof (Protection class IP66) and can be used not only
indoors but also for mounting outside. Wherever possible it should be protected
from direct rainfall. The monitor and both mains adapters are for indoor use only
and must be protected from moisture.
Video and audio can be recorded onto an micro SDHC card (max. 32 GB, not
included) through the monitor. The recording can be started manually, using a
schedule, or automatically through a motion detection software.
It is possible to
store the recordings in a ring format so that the oldest recordings will be
automatically overwritten when the card is full. The recordings can be viewed
directly on the monitor or using a PC.
The set is for use in private households. A video surveillance system does not
replace your duty of care or supervision. Observe the regulations concerning video
surveillance in commercial and public areas.
