9.2.9. Replacing the internal pistons and the seals and spacers

9.2.9.1 Disassembly

Note



The procedure to disassemble the inlet and outlet pistons is the same.

Operation

Note



Use special tools from the 2238/05 kit to disassemble the valve internal parts.

Caution



Disconnect the inlet / outlet fitting before proceeding.

Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screw (

Remove the controller (

) from the valve (

Using tool (

), unscrew the valve cap (

Match the tool (

) with the piston hole and push to slip off the piston (

Using tool (

), try to match the pins (

) of the tool in the ring nut’s holes (

Using tool (

), unscrew and remove the ring nut (

Place tool (

) inside the valve and pull until you slip off the seals and spacers pack (

Caution



Do not forget the correct sequence of the seals and spacers pack (

). If you reassemble the

pack incorrectly, the valve will not work properly.

Note



The sequence of the seals and spacers is different for the valve inlet and outlet.

If necessary, change the piston (

) and the seals and spacers pack (

Replace and grease all the O-rings with silicone grease (cod. 8500).

Note



Take care not to mix up the inlet and outlet pistons (the inlet piston is bigger than the outlet
piston).
