Ground-Fault trip entry Field
Set the Ground-Fault Trip value to the desired level. If a Ground-Fault Trip condition occurs, the
relay output is turned off and will not turn on until the fault has been cleared, and the Circuit is
reset in Status | Circuit window.
Range Raychem NGC-20:
10 mA to 250 mA
Range Raychem NGC-30:
10 mA to 200 mA
Default:
30 mA
Ground-Fault trip toggle Button
Enables or disables the ground-fault trip capability. When enabled, the output relay turns OFF if
the ground-fault current exceeds the trip value. An alarm is created in the Events window. The
output relay is not functional until the ground-fault problem is fixed and the alarm is reset. If
the Ground-Fault Trip is disabled, the relay output will continue to function normally but without
ground-fault safeguards.
Fire hazard.
A ground-fault alarm means the heating cable has been damaged or improperly
installed and must not be ignored. Disabling the ground-fault trip function reduces safety and
could result in sustained electrical arcing or fire. To minimize the risk of fire if the alarm activates,
shut off the power and repair the system immediately.
Low Current alarm entry Field
If the relay output currents fall below Low Current Alarm, the NGC-UIT2 will alarm.
Range Raychem NGC-20:
0-30 A, where 0 = Alarm Disabled
Default Raychem NGC-20:
30 A
Range Raychem NGC-30:
0-100 A, where 0 = Alarm Disabled
Default:
30.0A
high Current alarm entry Field
If the relay output current is above the High Current Alarm, the NGC-UIT2 alarms and stays in
alarm until the high current is cleared, and the alarm is reset in the Status | Circuit window.
Range Raychem NGC-20:
0-30 A, where 0 = Alarm Disabled
Default Raychem NGC-20:
1.0 A
Range Raychem NGC-30:
0–100 A, where 0 = Alarm Disabled
Default:
5.0 A
Power Limit entry
Field Use with SSR (NGC-30-CRMS) only
This feature limits the average power available at the output, by allowing the user to set a
maximum duty cycle for the Circuit.
imPortant:
The heater is switched on and off over a time base of several seconds. For example,
an 80% power output is achieved by switching the heater on at 100% for 800 milliseconds and then
off for 200 milliseconds. Instantaneous power consumption is not limited when the heater is on.
Range: 10–100%
Default: 100%
high Voltage alarm entry screen
If the voltage monitoring module measures line voltage above this threshold, the NGC-UIT2
generates an alarm.
Range:
50 – 305 V
Default:
270 V
Low Voltage alarm entry screen
If the voltage monitoring module measures line voltage below this threshold, the NGC-UIT2
generates an alarm.
Range:
50 – 305 V
Default:
90 V
