Model 7600 Basis Weight
This version 7600 is designed to allow user-defined and preset basis weighing as well as normal
gross, tare and net weighing. This allows an easy and accurate determination of lbs per dozen,
KG per gross, lbs per linear foot and so on.
Operating Instructions:
Using A preset Conversion Factor.
1. Select the unit of measure to perform the conversion with by pressing the UNITS button
to cycle through the primary and secondary-weighing units. Default is LBS for primary,
KG for secondary.
2. Press the SAMPLE Button repeatedly until the desired conversion factor is displayed.
Place 1 (One) of the items on the scale platform. Press the ENTER button.
3. The scale will now display the “Basis” weight of the selected conversion factor. As an
example if the operator selected a conversion factor of 20, the scale will now display the
basis weight of 20 pieces.
4. To view the weight press the UNITS Button repeatedly to cycle through PRIMARY,
SECONDARY and BASIS WEIGHT.
Using An Unique Conversion Factor.
1. Select the unit of measure to perform the conversion with by pressing the UNITS button
to cycle through the primary and secondary-weighing units. Default is LBS for primary,
KG for secondary.
2. Press the SAMPLE Button and place 1 (One) of the items on the scale platform. Key in
the conversion factor and press the ENTER button.
3. The scale will now display the “Basis” weight of the selected conversion factor. As an
example if the operator entered a conversion factor of 100, the scale will now display the
basis weight of 100 pieces.
4. To view the weight press the UNITS Button repeatedly to cycle through PRIMARY,
SECONDARY and BASIS WEIGHT.
OR
1. Select the unit of measure to perform the conversion with by pressing the UNITS button
to cycle through the primary and secondary-weighing units. Default is LBS for primary,
KG for secondary.
2. Press the PIECE WEIGHT Button and place 1 (One) of the items on the scale platform.
Key in the conversion factor and press the ENTER button.
3. The scale will now display the “Basis” weight of the selected conversion factor. As an
example if the operator entered a conversion factor of 100, the scale will now display the
basis weight of 100 pieces.
4. To view the weight press the UNITS Button repeatedly to cycle through PRIMARY,
SECONDARY and BASIS WEIGHT.
Note: For this Model the COUNTING features are not available. All other scale functions
are available and operate normally. For more information on other 7600 scale functions
please refer to the 7600 Operators Manual.
