Configuring a measurement setup file for the SoundAdvisor™ 831C sound level meter can

be  done  prior,  during,  or  after  deployment.  You  can  change  settings,  check  the

measurement, or download data at any time. 

In addition  to this manual, the

4.1  Configuring a Measurement Setup

For convenience, a default setup file for the NMS044 is included on the 831C. The file is

named  after  the  system.  It  contains  metrics  that  are  commonly  used  when  measuring

outdoor noise, such as:

Measurement History with 1-hour measurement intervals

Time History with 1-second updates to view noise as a function of time.

Daily results

Event Triggers, configured to send email alert notifications (when email is set 

up on the 831C).

Additionally, you may want to customize the SLM meter settings for your measurement.

Complete  the  following  processes  to  review  and  customize  the  SLM  settings  for  your

measurement.
