MAP Check 9000 - User Manual
7. Options
Alarm hold function
Under normal circumstances alarms are active for approx. 3 - 4 seconds after the alarm
condition has disappeared. When an automatic scanner has been installed, digit no. 4 of
this parameter allows you to determine what must happen when a switch is made to a new
channel and an alarm is active on the current channel. If the alarm hold function is active,
the alarm in question is kept active until the next time the scanner measures on the channel
which generated the alarm and the alarm condition has disappeared.
If the alarm hold function is not active and there is an alarm when a switch is made to a new
channel, the alarm will disappear after 3-4 seconds, provided that there is no alarm on the
new channel.
7.1.2. Manual start / stop of measuring function
When a scanner has been installed, the
key has additional functions. The following
measuring methods can be selected:
auto off ch.1 ch .2 ch.3
If the key is pressed once,
auto
is written in the display and after approx. 2 seconds the
measuring method Automatic scanning is initiated. If the key is pressed again within 2
seconds the display proceeds to
off
(measuring off), etc. If the key is pressed again after
ch.3
the display returns to the present state.
7.1.3. External start / stop of measuring function
If only external start/stop of the measuring function has been selected (
pa.1=xxx2
), the
measuring method Automatic scanning is solely started and stopped by external control
signals.
7.1.4. Manual and external start / stop of measuring function
If manual and external start/stop of the measuring function has been selected (
pa.1=xxx1
),
the measuring method Automatic scanning is started and stopped by means of external
control signals as well as the
key. When the external control signal is high the current
measuring function (manual measurement on
ch.1 ch.2 ch.3
) is interrupted and the
Automatic scanning measuring function is started.
7.1.5. Automatic scanning (
auto
)
When Automatic scanning is initiated, the system always starts with the first channel where
the clock register is different from zero. When measurement is started on a new channel, the
text '
auto
' and '
ch.1
', '
ch.2
' or '
ch.3
' flashes during the flushing time (del parameter in the
setup menu), depending on the channel selected. The flushing time is the same for all three
channels.
If only one clock register is different from zero, this channel will be constantly active.
7.1.6. Manual channel selection (
ch.1 ch.2 ch.3
)
These three options allow selection of constant measuring on one of the three channels,
regardless of the setting of the relevant clock register. Automatic scanning will start if
external start/stop of measuring has been selected and the external control signal is high.
If external start/stop of measuring has been selected and the external control signal
changes while manual measuring is being carried out, the following will happen. If the signal
is activated, Automatic scanning starts. If it is deactivated, ongoing measurement stops.
