MOWING WITH A CUTTING BLADE
CUTTING WEEDS This cutting method is carried out by
swinging the cutting blade in level arcs. This way, large
areas can be quickly cleared of field grass and weeds. This
cutting method should be used to remove tough weeds or
shrubbery.
Cutting can be carried out either in both directions or in one
using the side of the cutting blade rotating away from you -
in this case, the material being cut will be thrown away from
you. Slightly tilt the cutting blade to this side. When cutting in
both directions, you will be hit by some amount of the
material being cut.
Therefore, carry out the cutting only using the cutting blade
side which throws the material being cut away from you.
If kickback occurs, the cutting blade could be blunt, or the material being cut is too thick or
hard and you need to use another tool instead of this one to remove it. Do not use excessive
force or levering as this can cause the cutting blade to crack or bend.

This brush cutter is not designed to be used with a
circular saw blade for cutting trees.

DANGER
Do not cut with a blunt, cracked or damaged cutting blade. Before cutting growth, check
for obstructions, such as stones, metal poles or wire from old fences. If an obstruction
cannot be removed, mark its location so that you can avoid it while cutting. Stones and
metal objects can blunt or damage the cutting blade. Wire can catch on the cutting blade
and flap around or be thrown into the air.

NEVER USE THE CUTTING BLADE TO CUT TREES.
Otherwise, kickback may occur when
the edge of the blade touches the tree. This may cause a very fast backward reaction, kicking the
cutting blade back towards the operator. The reaction may cause you to lose control of the brush
cutter, which can result in serious personal injury.
WARNING
DANGER
Always use the shoulder harness and adjust the harness and the clamp on the brush
cutter so that the cutting blade is several inches above the ground level. The string
cutting head and the protective guard must always be in a level position. Hang the brush
cutter on the right side of your body.
