change.

This

is

a

very

important

condition

for

the

user

when

he/she

needs

to

estimate

the

exact

change

of

heat

input

into

the

weld

pool,

for

example,

when

he/she

compares

this

current

with

another

base

current

without

the

pulsed

welding

mode.

These

parameters

are

set

differently

in

different

situations

in

accordance

with

welding

operator's

requirements.

See

paragraph

6.1

for

sequence

of

changing

the

value

of

any

function

in

the

METAL

INERT/ACTIVE

GAS

WELDING

(MIG/MAG)

The

machine

can

serve

as

a

semiautomatic

welding

source.

For

this

purpose,

it

provides

the

required

current

voltage

curve

on

the

output

of

power

terminals

in

case

of

switching

to

this

mode.

Any

independent

feeding

unit,

which

is

operated

by

specific

supply

voltage

of

the

in

built

motor,

can

serve

as

the

external

wire

feeding

machine.

In

order

to

do

that,

it

must

have

its

own

supply

source

or

be

supplied

by

the

source

voltage

(this

option

is

less

desirable,

because

such

systems

rarely

provide

good

and

stable

wire

feeding).

ATTENTION:

In

the

most

general

case,

carbon

dioxide

"СО2"

is

used

as

shielding

of

iron,

and

aluminium

welded

only

using

inert

gases,

such

as

argon

"Ar"

and

sometimes

expensive

helium

"He".

For

stainless

and

high

alloy

steels,

mixtures

with

different

ratios

are

often

used,

such

as

"80%Ar+20%CO2".

Other

gases

can

only

be

used

upon

approval

of

the

equipment

manufacturer.
