the middle of a cascade that are not powered or not part of a group but
are in the chain will still pass the cascade communications due to the
bus topology. Cascade communications may sometimes require a
second or two if there is another operation already taking place, or if a
higher priority operation is issued at the same time by another unit.
The unit handles and responds to any events that may alter the group,
including:
•
Enabling Group Mode: If an individual channel is put into Group
Mode, it will assume the position, lockout state, and mode of the
existing group, if any, and switch automatically if necessary. If
the unit does not have channels in the new group or have not
processed any change commands for that group during the
unit’s present power state, it will put the channel in the factory
default settings of position A, unlocked lockout state, and
Automatic Fallback Mode.
•
Disabling Group Mode: If an individual channel is taken out of a
Group, it will stay in the present position, lockout state, and
mode.
•
Power Up: When a unit powers up, the position, lockout state,
and mode of all channels will remain the same as when it
powered down. If the unit has channels in a group, it will set the
states of position, lockout state, and mode to the current state.
If the unit does not have channels in a group, the position,
lockout state, and mode will be defaulted to factory defaults of
position A, unlocked lockout state, and Automatic Fallback
Mode. It will keep these group states until it processes a group
command through the Remote or a Cascade command from
other units through the chain.
Switch Position on Power Down
If power to the Model 7150 is lost, the switch will maintain its present
position and continue to pass data. Upon power restore, the unit will
assume the last position to which it was commanded before power was
lost.
