Upon power up the Model 7150 will process its power up routine. When
the routine is done the front panel LED's will indicate the present
position of the unit. At this point the unit is ready for operation.
Cascade Port Connections
These are custom RJ45 ports. There are signals present to support the
Cascade Operation feature that are not typically found on an Ethernet,
T1, E1, or any other standard that utilizes the RJ45 interface. Please
pay close attention to the connector pin/signal list and do not use this
port for other applications.
Please note
that the maximum total bus length has only been tested to
200 feet. Exceeding this length may be possible, but it has not been
verified. Please also note that there should be one Cascade In/Out port
open on the unit at one end of the bus, and there should also be one
Cascade In/Out port open on the unit at the other end of the bus—do
not connect these end points directly together with another cable to form
a loop.
Note: Do NOT use a crossover cable as this will cause the unit to
malfunction and possibly cause permanent damage to the units.
