Preparation
a) THIS HEDGE TRIMMER CAN CAUSE
SERIOUS INJURIES! Read the instruc-
tions carefully regarding the correct
handling, preparation and maintenance,
for starting and stopping the hedge trim-
mer. Familiarise with all controls and
the proper use of the hedge trimmer.
b) Children must never use the hedge
trimmer.
c) Caution! Notice overhead power lines.
d) Use of the hedge trimmer should be
avoided when people, especially
children, are nearby.
e) wear suitable clothing! Do not wear
loose clothing or jewellery that can
become jammed in the moving parts.
It is recommended that you wear solid
gloves, non-slip shoes and protective
goggles.
f) If the cutting unit contacts a foreign
body or if the operating noises increa-
se or the hedge trimmer vibrates with
unusually high force, turn off the motor
and let the hedge trimmer come to a
standstill. Pull the mains plug and take
the following measures:
- check for damages;
- check for loose parts and fasten all
loose parts;
- replace damaged parts with equiva-
lent parts or have them repaired.
g) Wear hearing protection.

i) Release the on-off button to shut down
the device in an emergency.
Operation
a) Switch the appliance off and remove
the mains plug, before:
- cleaning or removing a blockage;
- inspection, servicing or work on the
hedge trimmer;
- adjusting the working position of the
cutting unit;
- leaving the hedge trimmer unattended.
b) Always ensure that the hedge trimmer
is properly placed in one of the indica-
ted working positions before the motor
is started.

footing.

fective or strongly worn-out cutting unit.
e) To avoid the risk of fire, ensure that the
motor is free from deposits, leaves or
leaked lubricant..
