Logging in using the terminal emulator

2 Network interface configuration

PHD Network Interface Configuration

The default setting for the PHD doesn't allow you to log in as user "root" on the first
connection in Terra Term. You may enter the username "user" and the user password
supplied by Parker Vansco, to log in to the PHD.
It is possible to change the PHD security level and log directly into "root", see section
"Changing the password", on page 11
When you click OK, Tera Term should login to the Parker PHD product.
Once logged in as user, you should see the following PHD prompt.

Switch to user "root" using ’su -’ command and log in using the root password supplied by
Parker Vansco.
