build-up risk
Use in well ventilated areas.
No open flames, smoking or sources of ignition.
Never add water instead of oil samples.
Dispose of waste carefully.
The water in oil test reagents react rapidly with water. In normal operation up to 70 ml H
2
is generated.
Test waste can continue to react with water and moisture from the atmosphere. Test waste must not be poured into a
closed container or lidded slops bucket where H
2
can accumulate. Adequate ventilation must be ensured to avoid H
2
build-up in a confined space. H
2
gas is explosive at concentration levels above 4%.
