Standard feedback options for the 404XE include an optical rotary encoder
(E5 option) and magnetic linear encoder (E2 option). Encoder information is
below. The linear encoder must be installed at the factory. See Chapter 5
for rotary encoder field installation instructions and Appendix A for rotary en-
coder assembly part number.
