How to maintain the pump
[How to clean the pump]

Periodically maintain the pump. Always unplug the power plug before maintenance and use the
following procedure.
Remove contaminants, if any (blood, feces, etc.).
Use soapy water (commercially available soap, such as neutral detergent diluted with water) to wipe the
pump to remove stains.
CAUTION

Most of stains and odors such as blood, urine, sweat, and sebum can be
removed using neutral detergent or soap, but if such stains are left as is,
the pump could develop an odor or permanent stain. For stain removal,
use oxydol (hydrogen peroxide water: 3% concentration).

Do not use a volatile cleaning solution (such as paint thinner, benzene, or
gasoline) or cresol. Discoloration or deterioration could result.
Use disinfectant to clean and disinfect the pump.
For disinfectant, use the following chemicals and observe the specified concentration. Also, use those
disinfectants according to the handling method of each disinfectant.

Replacing the filter

Regularly inspect and replace the filter. Always unplug the
power plug before inspection and replacement and use the
following procedure.
Press the hook of the filter case on the back of the pump and
take out the case.
Replace the filter.
* For the filter for cococia Fūka, contact your distributor (see
"Contact Information" on
p. 32
).

Replace a dirty filter with a new one.
* When the filter is used continuously, it is
recommended to replace the filter once every
year, but this period varies depending on the
location and environment where it is used and
how long it is used.
CAUTION

Regularly inspect the filter. If the filter is clogged, it may not work properly.

When replacing the filter, be sure to attach the specified "filter for cococia
F
ū
ka." If a filter other than specified is attached or no filter is attached,
insects or dust may enter the inside of the pump, possibly causing
malfunction. This also may cause failure.
