CARE AND MAINTAINING
Important! The Li� Handle must move freely in both
direc�ons when controlled by the operator. If handle
dri�s by itself and fails to hold the door at the desired
eleva�on or if the handle wont rotate clockwise to
lower the door.
Li� Handle adjustment may be required to restore proper opera�on and to prevent damage to internal components.
Remove door from Doorminator™ before making adjustment to the Li� Handle.
To adjust the li� handle:
1) Rotate the Li� Handle counter-clockwise un�l it stops at the end of travel.
2) Loosen the Li� Handle adjustment bolt using a 3/16” hex key wrench.
3) While holding the Li� Handle in the full counter-clockwise posi�on, rotate the adjustment plate clockwise un�l it stops.
Hold the plate in this posi�on and observe reference marks on the adjustment plate in rela�on to the single mark on the Li�
Handle.
4) While con�nually holding the Li� Handle in full counter-clockwise posi�on, roate the adjustment plate counter-clockwise
un�l it moves back approximately 1/16 on the Li� Handle. Re�ghten the Li� Handle adjustment bolt using a 3/16” hex key
wrench and test for correct opera�on.

Tilt Handle Adjustment
When properly adjusted the Tilt Handle will move and hold a door at any point within the
full range of travel. To hold securely, the Tilt Handle must be adjusted to produce sufficient
drag between the fric�on surfaces of the discs within the Tilt Handle mechanism. To
increase or decrease drag on the Tilt Handle: Tighten or loosen the two lock nuts as
needed.
Note: Fric�on disc surfaces are to remain clear and dry. Do not lubricate with oil.

Use household paraffin wax on:
The edge of the li� cam, li� channel surface,
back leg and leg lock, door hook slide tubes.
use lightweight oil on:
Casters, pivot points, side �lt adjustment mechansim
