About the T1 Access Mux

Components

The T1 access unit consists of either a 9161 or 9261 Network Access Module
(NAM) installed in a two-slot or five-slot chassis, along with optional Sync Data,
DSX, or voice Application Modules (APMs) for particular applications. Up to
14 NAMs can also be installed in the 14-slot access carrier.
