NOTE

: It is recommended that only a qualified person with a network background make changes to 

these network settings. When set to DHCP the UPS will sent out a request to get an IP Address from the 

DHCP server on the Ethernet network. The DCHP server will assign a dynamic IP address to this UPS 

upon receiving this request. If the Network Setting is change to “Static” then the user must manually 

assign an IP Address to the UPS.  

CAUTION

: No two devices on an Ethernet Network may have the same IP address. 

 

Clicking the Network Settings “CHANGE” button allows the user to change the network setting between 

“DHCP” and “Static”. The pop-up window (shown below) queries the user to select the new Network 

Setting.  A check-mark in the “SELECT” box indicates the current network setting. Click the DHCP or 

STATIC “SELECT” button to change to that respective network setting.  If DHCP is selected, no other 

fields on this page need to be completed.  Click the “SAVE” button to change the network settings to 

DHCP for the unit. If STATIC is selected then the user must enter the appropriate IP address, Network 

Mask, and Gateway IP Address. These address setting are unique to the individual user’s network. If the 

address setting is not known, cancel out of this change and obtain these settings before attempting this 

change again. Click the “CANCEL” button to cancel this change and go back to the current Network 

Settings. A reset is required after changing the network setting.
