If the Confidential Print is turned on when printing a document with PCL printer driver , the print job is
saved in the printer’s hard disk drive. You can print copies of your confidential document by accessing
the job saved in the printer’s hard disk drive. The saved job can be printed using the
Menu Mode of the
printer ( see “Performing Confidential Print (Windows-PCL Only)” on page 58 ) or HDD Utility .
However, when printing the saved job, you are required to enter the password. Be sure no documents
are being printed while spooling a print job in the printer.
Perform the Confidential Print according to the following outline steps:
1. Spool a print job in the printer.
Refer to “Printing and Spooling a Print Job” on page 217 (be sure to use the PCL printer driver).
Select Confidential Print instead of selecting Check and Print, and enter the numeric password
[Max. 16 numbers (0 - 9)]. The document is NOT printed when printing the document at step 4.
2. Print the desired copies of the document (see the steps below).
The print job saved in the hard disk drive is remained until it is deleted.

Display the HDD Utility window ( Start - Programs - Panasonic - Panasonic
DP-CL21P or Panasonic DP-CL21M - HDD Utility ).

Display the HDD Spooler window (double click the printer).
Confidential Print data are displayed in the Confidential Print Document area.

Double click your desired print job in the Confidential Print Document area.
or
Click the print job in the Confidential Print Document area, then click
Print from
Document menu.
or
Click the print job with the right mouse button, then select the
Print in the pop-
up menu.
The Password window is displayed.
