Use Device Fonts

Enables the use of printer’s resident fonts. Printer’s resident fonts can be displayed in the font
menu of the application software by clicking on the Use Device Fonts check box. (Some
applications may not display printer’s resident fonts.)
If your document and the printer use the same font, the printer uses its resident font and provide
you with faster printing.
The available resident font list can be printed by selecting PCL Font List from the Test Page menu
in the Menu mode (

see “Using the Printer Panel (Menu Mode)” on page 21

in the “Basics”

section).
