Troubleshooting

Touch Screen

•

The Calibration Utility can only be run with Admin rights

•

The Calibration Utility saves the calibration points in the Windows XP Registry

•

The end user must run the Calibration Utility periodically to maintain proper functionality

Symptom:

•

Cursor Jumps when in use

•

Cursor is erratic

•

Cursor moves in different direction

•

Cursor does not track correctly

Steps:

•

Calibrate the touch screen using the Calibration Utility

•

If logged in as a user, log in as an Administrator,
calibrate the touch screen and test the touch screen’s
functionality

•

Check the touch pad and touch screen area for dirt or
debris

•

Reinstall the touch screen driver and software
