Oscilloscope,
NTSC Video Pattern Generator

1. Set to PINP mode, and then set PARENT PICTURE to UHF/VHF 

TUNER/TV DEMODULATOR 2 UNIT input.

2. Supply a Crosshatch Pattern Signal to the Antenna Input Terminal.

3. Connect the Oscilloscope to Pin 5 of P8001 on the TV PROCESS 

C.B.A. or TP49 on the CRT C.B.A.

4. Select SUB BRIGHT in EVR adjustment mode. Then, after making 

a note of the original value, adjust to the (D0).

5. Select SUB CONTRAST in EVR adjustment mode and adjust so 

that the level A is 3.0 V[p-p]±0.1 V[p-p].

6. Select SUB BRIGHT in EVR adjustment mode and reset to the 

original value.

7. Set PARENT PICTURE to UHF/VHF TUNER/TV DEMODULATOR 1 

UNIT input.

8. Select R-SUB BRIGHT in EVR adjustment mode. Then, after 

making a note of the original value, adjust to the (D0).

9. Select R-SUB CONTRAST in EVR adjustment mode and adjust so 

that the level A is 3.0 V[p-p]±0.1 V[p-p].

10. Select R-SUB BRIGHT in EVR adjustment mode and reset to the 

original value.
