When using vacuum cleaner, basic precautions should always
be followed, including the following:

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, injury:
1 1.. D DO O N NO OT T leave vacuum cleaner when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not
in use and before servicing.
2 2.. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock - D DO O N NO OT T use outdoors or on wet
surfaces.
3 3.. D DO O N NO OT T allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used
by or near children.
4 4.. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended
tools.
5 5.. D DO O N NO OT T use with damaged cord or plug. If vacuum cleaner is not working as
it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water,
return it to an authorized Panasonic Servicenter.
6 6.. D DO O N NO OT T pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, or
pull cord around sharp edges or corners. D
DO O N NO OT T run vacuum cleaner over
cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
7 7.. D DO O N NO OT T unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
8 8.. D DO O N NO OT T handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
9 9.. D DO O N NO OT T put any objects into openings. D DO O N NO OT T use with any opening
blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
1 10 0.. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings
and moving parts.
1 11 1.. D DO O N NO OT T pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes,
matches, or hot ashes.
1 12 2.. D DO O N NO OT T use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
1 13 3.. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
1 14 4.. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
1 15 5.. D DO O N NO OT T use cleaner to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as
gasoline or use in areas where they may be present.
1 16 6.. D DO O N NO OT T operate cleaner without belt cover properly installed.

This warranty does not apply to products purchased outside Canada or to any product which has been improperly
installed, subjected to usage for which the product was not designed, misused or abused, damaged during
shipping, or which has been altered or repaired in any way that affects the reliability or detracts from the
performance. Parts such as disposable dust bags, filters, belts, light bulbs and agitator brushes are also excluded
from coverage under this warranty.
This warranty is extended to the original end user purchaser only. A purchase receipt or other proof of date of
original purchase is required before warranty service is performed.
