Preparation
Date and Time
(use either

Set the clock with either the base unit or the cordless handset. You do not need to
program both on the base unit and the cordless handset.
• When entering the time, you cannot enter numbers greater than 12.
Do not use
military time.
(To set 13:00 hours, enter “0100”, and select “PM”
.)
• When the display language is set to French, you can use military time (see page
17 of the French Operating Instructions).

(1) Enter the year, and month and day using
4-digit numbers. (e.g. To set Apr. 7, 2003,
enter “2003” and “0407”.)
(2) Enter the time (hour and minute) using a
4-digit number. (e.g. To set 9:30, enter
“0930”.)
• If you enter a wrong number, press
[ ]

[ ]
to
move the cursor to the incorrect number. Enter
the correct number.

Select “AM” or “PM” by pressing
[ ]

• If 3 beeps sound, the setting is not correct. Start again from step 3.
• The clock starts working.

If a power failure occurs, the time setting may be incorrect. When “
” flashes
on the base unit display, adjust the date/time.
For Call Display service users
(p. 30)
• Caller information will reset the clock after the first ring if the adjusted time is
incorrect.
• If the time has not previously been set, the caller information will not adjust the
clock.
• Caller information will automatically adjust the clock for daylight saving time.
