5.1 Installation
5.1.1 Installation Environment and Space
Avoid installing the unit in the following locations:
•
Direct sunlight and ambient temperatures outside the range of 0
°
C to +55
°
C.
(When installing the unit in a control panel, carefully consider radiation. Also, do not install the unit
immediately above any devices generating heat.)
•
Ambient humidity outside the range of 30% to 85% RH (at 25
°
C, non-condensing).
•
Sudden temperature changes causing condensation.
•
Inflammable or corrosive gas.
•
Excessive airborne dust, metal particles or saline matter.
•
Benzine, paint thinner, alcohol or other organic solvents or strong alkaline solutions such as ammonia
or caustic soda.
•
Direct vibration, shock or direct drop of water.
•
Influence from power transmission lines, high voltage equipment, power cables, power equipment,
radio transmitters, or any other equipment that would generate high switching surges.
Measures regarding noise
•
Influence from power transmission lines, high voltage equipment, power cables, power equipment,
radio transmitters, or any other equipment that would generate high switching surges
•
If noise occurs in the power supply line even after the above countermeasures are taken, it is
recommended to supply power through an insulation transformer, noise filter, or like.
Measures regarding heat discharge
•
Always install the unit orientated with the tool port facing outward on the bottom in order to prevent the
generation of heat.
•
Do not install the FP
Σ
control unit as shown below.
•
Do not install the unit above devices which generate heat such heaters, transformers or large scale
resistors.
