Using a Keyboard
The full keyboard is displayed when metadata input or other
alphanumeric input is required.
Move the cursor to the character you want to enter and press
the [SET] button.
Use the cursor buttons to move the cursor.
The keys on the keyboard have the functions listed below.
Note:
• Pressing the [RESET] button deletes all entered characters.
• Pressing the [EXIT] button displays a confirmation message be-
fore exiting the keyboard. Select “YES” and press the [SET] but-
ton to close the software keyboard.
• Switching Caps also changes the symbols on the keyboard.
The numeric keyboard is displayed when you only need to en-
ter numbers.
Move the cursor to the number you want to enter and press
the [SET] button.
Use the cursor buttons to move the cursor.
The keys on the keyboard have the functions listed below.
To use a USB keyboard for input, connect it to the KEYBOARD
connector when a menu that displays the full keyboard or nu-
meric keyboard is selected.
The type of keyboard must first be set in the menu.

Note:
• If the keyboard draws more than 100 mA, a protective circuit
may shut down the unit.
• Input is limited to alphanumeric characters and symbols.
• Some keyboards may not work properly.
