● An invitation accompanied a keypad code. Different operation modes deal with the
keypad code differently.
○ Stand-Alone Mode:
■ When invited, a 4-7 digits keypad code, called Master code to Owner,
needs to be set when the invitee’s app is in connect with the lock via
the Bluetooth. The keypad code can be the same as others(Family or
Owner).
■ Guest is not allowed to set the keypad code. An eight digits keypad
code will generate on the Kapture app when the app is in connect with
the lock via the Bluetooth. All the exiting Guest code is unique.
■ No keypad code will be received from an SMS or the invitation email.
○ Link Mode :
■ The lock will require the invitation via the Link/Internet immediately. If
the Link is out of work, inviter is able to invite the invitee through the
Stand-Alone Mode.
■ When a Family is invited, a 4-7 digits keypad code, called Master code
to Owner, needs to be set when the invitee’s app is in connect with the
lock via the Bluetooth. The keypad code can be the same as
others(Family or Owner).
■ When a Guest is invited, the eight-digits keypad code will generate
right away, and Guest will receive it through an SMS or the invitation
email.
● The invitee will receive instruction in the invitation email for the Kapture App
download and account registration.
● In LINK Mode, the invitee can access the door via the keypad code without carrying
the smartphone and the app.
● To generate/remove permissions keeps in the audit trail
● The first time for Invitee to log in the Kapture app will be kept in the audit trail. Also, in
LINK Mode, the inviter will receive real-time notification on the app.
Audit Trail
● The audit trails will be kept in the lock, and be transmitted to Kapture Cloud through
the Kapture App or the LINK when available.
● In Stand-Alone Mode, the audit trails will be transmitted when an authorized app is
linked to the lock. Therefore, Kapture Cloud cannot receive the real-time audit trail.
● In LINK Mode, the audit trails will be transmitted to Kapture Cloud. Therefore,
Kapture Cloud can receive a real-time audit trail.
