Preserving the screw joints after tightening
After having installed the crane and tightened the bolts carry out the following preservation works:
Contact gap between flanges
• Remove contaminations and degrease surfaces (see no. 3 in illustration below).
• Apply Hempadur Mastic 45880 approx. 280 µm thick.
• Seal the contact gap with PUR putty.
• Apply Hempathane 55210 approx. 40µm thick.
Screws, nuts, and washers

Remove contaminations and degrease surfaces (see nos. 1, 2 and 4 in drawing below).
•
Apply Hempadur Mastic 45880 approx. 280 µm thick.
• Apply Hempathane 55210 approx. 40µm thick.
Before coating adhere to the drying times depending on thickness and temperature and in accordance with
the manufacturer’s datasheet.
