• Once you have decided on an appropriate position for your ECOFI-
RE, determine the exact centre position for the flue and the air intake
based on the measurements given in the diagram to the right. (Fig.11)
• Use a corer to bore a 100 mm Ø hole for the flue and a 60 mm Ø hole
for the air intake.
• Construct the flue with pipes in glazed, stainless or painted steel etc.
complete with hermetic gaskets. When installing pipes outside, to pre-
vent condensation forming, it is a good idea to wrap the flue in insula-
ting material (rock wool – ceramic fibre) or use ready-insulated pipes.
All parts of the building or objects liable to catch fire - planks, beams,
fabrics – must also be suitably protected with fireproof material.
*
All flue sections must be accessible for inspection and remova-
ble for internal cleaning purposes (Fig.12)

2.4.1 DIRECT OUTLET ON OUTSIDE WALL
(Fig. 13)
For installation in conformity with regulations, you must:
·
Install the draught-diverter cowl supplied with the stove. In
particularly windy areas, and in areas along the coast in general, an H
pot must be installed in an upright position to prevent smoke being
blown back into the room.
·Connect the stove to the flue by means of a union-tee with inspection
cap.
·Use suitable materials and airtight pipe fittings (e.g. stainless steel
pipe fittings for gas boilers)
·Insulate the flue with materials complying to standards to prevent
condensation from forming.
·When smoke is to be expelled directly outside, follow the instructions
given in UNI standards 7129/92, with particular reference to points:
4.3.4.2 draught-diverter cowls
4.3.4.3 positioning draught-diverter cowls
N.B.:
If the stove is to be installed in an apartment block, we suggest
you seek the opinion of the administrator before installation.

2.4.2 FLUE GASES EXPELLED THROUGH A TRADITIONAL
CHIMNEY
(Fig. 14)
·Installation of a chimney cap with a draught diverter is obligatory
·The flue’s max. internal dimensions must be 15x15 or Æ 15 cm. For
larger dimensions, it is advisable to insert a stainless steel pipe measu-
ring Æ 15 cm.
·Have a an inspection door installed at the base for annual cleaning.
·Connection to the flue must be airtight (either sealed or with gaskets).
·The flue must comply with UNI standards in force 9615 and 9731.

INSERT VERSION (WITH PULL-OUT BASE)
ECOFIRE may be equipped with a base on guide rails for insert mo-
dels installed in structures covered with marble panels or other mate-
rials. In this way, the stove can be pulled out for routine mechanical and
electrical inspection purposes.
The ECOFIRE pull-out base comes complete with:
· STOVE PULL-OUT BASE FRAME (A) (Fig. 16)
· PELLETS FEED HOPPER SUPPORT (B) (Fig. 16)
· ADJUSTABLE-TILT CHUTE (C) (Fig.16)
· VERTICAL REAR FLUE ATTACHMENT (K) Æ 80 mm (Fig. 16)
· ELECTRIC PLUG (M) (Fig. 16)
· SIDE FRAMES (R) ADAPTING TO PANEL COVERING (Fig. 22)
To install the insert model, proceed as follows:
1) Before fixing the base to the floor, remove the two rear fixing screws
(F) used for transportation (Fig. 16)
2) To alter the height of the stove, turn the relevant bolts (D) located on
the outer vertical supports of the frame (Fig. 17)
3) Screw and unscrew the feet (S) to level the frame. (Fig. 17)
N.B.
The lower edge of the stove must be raised at least 1 cm off the
marble slab.
4) Anchor the base feet (E) with strong steel Æ 8 mm screw anchors.
(Fig. 17)
5) Connect the outlet header (A) (fig. 15) to the flue by following the
instructions given in point 2.4.
6) Attach the combustion air inlet according to the instructions given in
point 2.3 (See Fig. 15)
7) Ensure the power line reaches the rear of the stove (M) (Fig. 16)
8) Alter the height of the hopper by turning bolts (G) (Fig. 19)
9) Alter the hopper tilt by turning bolts (H) (Fig. 19)
10) Adapt the chute to the false hood by adjusting the telescopic metal
sides (I) and front piece (L). (Fig. 19)
11) Fit an air and heat recovery grille in the top part of the false hood.
N.B. The feed hopper and its turning support are delivered
assembled on the left. They can be moved to the right by
loosening bolts (G) (Fig. 19)
In the front-feed version, the turning support is assembled at
the front.

ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT
To pull-out the stove, proceed
as follows:
1) First release the stove as indicated in the point below and slide the
unit out from the front using the two handles (X) (Y) as illustrated
(Fig. 20).
Fit the handles into the two slots, insert them in a horizontal position,
rotate them vertically and pull the stove out from the front.
2)Use key (Z) to release the stove (Figs. 18 and 20);
·press it all the way in and turn it anticlockwise to release the stove (
turn
the key from a horizontal to a vertical position).
·press it all the way in and turn it clockwise to secure the stove (
turn the
key from a vertical to a horizontal position).
Warning! These operations secure and release the stove from the
back of the stationary base (J) and, at the same time, operate a micro-
switch (W) that connects or disconnects the power supply.
2.5.1 - FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY
·
Attach the two perforated side panels (R) to the inner side of the two
flanking columns and secure them to the marble with two silicone strips
(Fig. 23)
·
The two bent metal panels (L1) must be fixed to the lower side panels
of the ECOFIRE stove with two self-tapping screws so as to conceal the
guide rails. Detail (Fig. 22)
Any wooden beams located above the ECOFIRE stove must be pro-
tected with fireproof material. (e.g. wood-cement panel)

2.6 MOUNTING THE CERAMIC, mod. GINEVRA
We recommend mounting the GINEVRA stove dry so the ECOFIRE
and all the ceramic cladding pieces can be positioned in the best
possible way (Fig. 2.6-1). To do this, please follow the progressive
number order given in the figures in this manual.
•
ATTENTION
:
Slight differences in colour are normal with majolica. The company is
not liable for any complaints once it has been mounted.
Proceed as follows to mount the ceramic:
1)(
Fig. 2.6-2)
Position the base (
1
,
2
) and fix it with cement or tile glue.
Position the ceramic top (
3
) after having put some drops of
silicone on the base along the inside perimeter. Check the top
is level and centred with respect to the base.
Put the frame (
4
) inside the base as shown in the drawing,
checking its height and making sure it is level. If necessary,
turn the screws on the feet to adjust its height.
2)(
Fig. 2.6-3
) Position ECOFIRE (
5
) inside the frame.
It must be 5 mm higher than the top (
3
), see detail (
A
), and the
cast iron front piece must be externally flush with the columns (
6
).
Put some spots of silicone where the columns are going to go
(
6
) on the four corners of the top (
3
).
Note: do not put any silicone in the right and left side grooves
where the sides are going to go (10).
3)(
Fig. 2.6-4
) To fix the columns (
6
) position the fins of the brackets (
8
)
(supplied) on their two holes (
6
) and tighten them slightly with
the screws on the corners of the frame (
4
).
Adjust the height of the frame’s upper ring (
4
) until it comes up
to the height of the columns (
6
).
Put a few drops of red silicone in the groove of the front columns
