Span 2.
The Span 2 Screen refers to the loop between the first doubler (HDU1) and the HRU-512
for one-doubler circuits or between the first and second doublers (HDU1 and HDU2) for two-doubler
circuits.

Span 3.
The Span 3 Screen refers to the loop between the second doubler and the HRU-512 for
two-doubler circuits.

You can do the following:
Press <C> to clear all of the alarms listed in the screen.
Press <U> to update the report.
Press <S> to go to the next available span screen.
Press <E> to exit the menu.
23. Enter Circuit ID
23.1
To enter a circuit ID:

Press <H> from the Maintenance Terminal Main Menu to view the Enter Circuit ID screen.
The following message displays:
enter circuit ID# (24 characters max):

Enter a unique circuit ID (either alpha or numerical) of no more than 24 characters, then press
<Enter>.

Press <C> to confirm.
If more than 24 characters are entered, a beep is emitted and only the first 24
characters are accepted.

The Circuit ID appears in all HLU-D41 screens. Note that the Circuit ID is not set to its default (all
blanks) setting when the DFLT setting option is utilized. The Circuit ID # is not available at the
HRU-512 Maintenance Port.
23.3
The Circuit ID is stored in NVRAM and thus remains if power is lost.
