applications and NLOC, NREM, CLOC and CREM are available for non-doubler applications.
These available loopback options display in the Loopback Menu based upon the installed
configuration.
See Section 24 for instructions on how to use the HLU-D41 Mode and Choice Setup buttons to
initiate loopbacks and Table 18 for a comprehensive listing of all HiGain loopbacks. The following
procedures are shown in the sequence in which they appear in the Loopback menu.
19.3
Disable Loopbacks.
The Disable Loopbacks option allows you to disable (cancel) any of the
loopbacks listed in the menu. To disable loopbacks, press <A> in the Loopback menu.
The following prompt appears:
PLEASE WAIT................
A series of dots moves from left to right indicating that the command has been issued. When this
process completes, the system returns to the Main menu.

Network Loop HLU (NLOC).
The Network Loop HLU (NLOC) option allows you to send a
Network Local (NLOC) loopback from the line unit towards the network. To send an NLOC
loopback, press <B> in the Loopback menu
The following prompt appears:
PLEASE WAIT................
A series of dots moves from left to right indicating that the command has been issued. When this
process completes, the system returns to the Main menu. NLOC now appears next to the Loopback
Mode in the Main menu. The loopback continues to cycle in the system depending upon your
Loopback Timeout setting. You can always go back to the Loopback menu and press A to disable the
NLOC loopback.

Network Loop HRU (NREM).
The Network Loop HRU (NREM) option allows you to send a
Network Remote (NREM) loopback from the remote unit towards the network. To send an NREM
loopback, press <C> in the Loopback menu.
The following prompt appears:

A series of dots moves from left to right indicating that the command has been issued. When this
process completes, the system returns to the Main menu. NREM now appears next to the Loopback
Mode in the Main menu. The loopback continues to cycle in the system depending upon your
Loopback Timeout setting. You can always go back to the Loopback menu and press A to disable the
NREM loopback.

Network Loop Doubler 1.
The Network Loop Doubler 1 (NDU1) option allows you to send an
NDU1 loopback at the first doubler towards the network. To send an NDU1 loopback, press <D> in
the Loopback menu.
The following prompt appears:

A series of dots moves from left to right indicating that the command has been issued. When this
process completes, the system returns to the Main menu. NDU1 now appears next to the Loopback
Mode in the Main menu. The loopback continues to cycle in the system depending upon your

NDU1 loopback.
