4.6.3.7 CT XFMR LOCATION
Selecting CT XFMR LOCATION from the General Setup 2 menu (
fn
,
3
,
7
,
1
) allows you to specify the
location of the current transformer used for the current metering display.
From any METER display (V/I, AMPS or POWER), press the
fn
key to enter SETUP MODE.
From the SETUP display, press
3
to enter GENERAL SETUP.
From the GENERAL SETUP 1 display, press
7
to enter More Options
From the GENERAL SETUP 2 display, press
1
to enter CT XFMR LOCATION
CURRENT XFMR SENSOR LOCATION SETUP:
CTS LOCATED ON=PRIMARY
(Press +/- Key to Toggle Selection
(Press ENTER or EXECUTE to Exit
CTS LOCATED ON= PRIMARY
or
SECONDARY.
This value is typically set at the factory to match
the hardware configuration of the Power Source. Do not change the setting unless the
physical connection of the current transformers are actually changed. The UPC uses
this information to correctly scale the current measurements during transformer coupled
operation.
4.6.3.8 TRANSIENT WFs
Selecting TRANSIENT WFs from the General Setup 2 menu (
fn
,
3
,
7
,
2
) allows you to specify the voltage
calculation method used during transients.
From any METER display (V/I, AMPS or POWER), press the
fn
key to enter SETUP MODE.
From the SETUP display, press
3
to enter GENERAL SETUP.
From the GENERAL SETUP 1 display, press
7
to enter More Options
From the GENERAL SETUP 2 display, press
2
to enter TRANSIENT WFs.
TRANSIENT WAVEFORM CALCULATION SETUP:
K-FACTOR CALC FOR AUTO RMS=ENABLED
(Press +/- Key to Toggle Selection
(Press ENTER or EXECUTE to Exit
RMS= ENABLED
or
DISABLED.
If
ENABLED
is chosen, the amplitude of each transient segment is calculated based on the
RMS value of the waveform used in that segment. Time based transients, using the same
waveform throughout, could use this setting.
For transients involving waveform substitution, the RMS calculation may cause the peak
voltages to vary. For example, a sine wave which has been modified to create a ¼ cycle
dropout is substituted for one cycle at 120 Vrms. Since it is missing a portion of the waveform,
the RMS calculation will determine that the voltage peaks must be higher than a normal sine
wave in order to maintain the specified 120 Vrms.
