Seat Assembly Operation
The power wheelchair
is available with removable, adjustable arms. These arms are de-
signed to provide support for your arms while seated on the wheelchair, and for some
assistance when getting on and off of the wheelchair. THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED
TO HOLD A PERSONS WEIGHT! Persons with no use of their legs, or no ability to
transfer weight to the floor should seek other means of assistance (slide board, helper,
etc.) when transferring in and out of the wheelchair. Arm failure will result if excess
weight is applied to the arm.
Width adjustable arm adjustments
1. Loosen the black knobs at the lower rear of the seat. Rotate counter clockwise
to loosen.
2. Slide the armrests in or out as needed.
3. Tighten the black knobs. Rotate clockwise to tighten.
Should you wish to remove the armrests, simply pull them out when the knobs are
loose. Remember to tighten the knobs to avoid their loss.
The power wheelchair seat rotates 180 degrees in either direction. But take care not
to pull on the electrical connections when turning the seat. The seatlock allows you
to lock the seat in any position. Seatlock operation is as follows.
1. Rotate the seat to the desired position.
2. Push the lever forward firmly until it is down and the seat will not swivel.
3. When properly locked, the seat will not rotate while you are riding the
wheel chair. (see warning). Always ride with the seat in the forward facing position!
4. To unlock, pull up on the lever. The seat will now swivel freely. Take care
when assembling the wheelchair that the seat lock lever is upright and all the way down
on the seat post to avoid damage to the seat lock mechanism and so that the seat slips
on easily. Failure to do this will damage the seatlock!
