Unpacking
After unpacking, check all of the components for any signs of damage during
transport; check the hoist housing, cables, hook, chain and operating unit.
Assembling
Assemble the chain hoist in a suitable place. The structure that is used to support the
equipment must be strong enough to withstand several times the load.
If the equipment is fitted on a structure that is not strong enough the chain hoist may
fall down causing damage to equipment and/or personal injury.
Before starting
The equipment must be connected to an adequate power supply to ensure the
correct operation and avoid problems that can arise from insufficient power (low
voltage), which includes:
1.
Noise from the brake and/or clattering from the contactor.
2.
Motor and other components become warm.
3.
The motor stalls and the equipment cannot lift the load.
4.
Reduced speed on the motor relating to the circuit.
After the chain hoist has been safely assembled and the power supply has been
checked to ensure that it meets the equipment’s specifications, the chain hoist can be
taken into use.
